Rwanda to Accept Unwanted Deportees

Where the likes of Boris Johnson, Liz Truss, and Rishi Sunak — who each served as UK prime minister in 2022 — failed, maybe President Trump will succeed.

Each of the three UK leaders attempted, unsuccessfully, to offload some of their excess illegals to the country of Rwanda. With a change of parties, their efforts died on the vine, Now, however, Donald Trump has reached his own agreement with the Rwanda government. A Rwandan representative has told the Associated Press his country will take up to 250 deportees whose homelands have refused to take them back.

Rwanda will thus become the third country that has agreed to accept unwanted deportees. Last month, the Trump administration sent 13 “dangerous criminals” to South Sudan and Eswatini (formerly known as Swaziland). Unlike the unhappy experience of Trump’s British colleagues, the President was given the green light last month by the US Supreme Court to deport illegals to countries other than their homelands.

The administration is seeking additional such agreements with other African nations.
