Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), a key supporter of the Senate’s amnesty bill, said that chances for passing it or similar legislation have diminished due to the hostility between Republicans and Democrats resulting from the recent fiscal crisis. Said Rubio, “Immigration reform [i.e., amnesty] is going to be a lot harder to accomplish than it was three weeks ago.”
