Rep. Pete Sessions Claims to Have Plan to Stop Obama Amnesty

Rep. Pete Sessions (R-TX), says he is not pro-amnesty and that he is working on a homeland security appropriations bill for the GOP-run Congress to pass that could stop Obama’s amnesty plan.

Sessions, chairman of the powerful Rules Committee, is part of the House leadership and an advocate of expanded guest worker laws that would allow many illegals to remain and work in the U.S.  In an interview with Breitbart Texas, he contended that even a government shutdown would not stop the illegal Obama amnesty scheme without carefully-crafted legislative language in the homeland security appropriations bill and a GOP plan to fight Obama’s amnesty.

Sessions explained that even a government shutdown alone would not stop implementation of the executive amnesty because under current law 95% of DHS employees are designated “essential” and work even during a shutdown.
