Delia Ramirez is a U.S. congresswoman from Illinois who recently spoke at the Panamerican Congress in Mexico City. The meeting hosted left-wing legislators from eight countries in the Western Hemisphere.
She is a strong advocate for illegal aliens. She began by telling the audience that “It’s very good to be with you all, especially because I am here today with the leaders and champions who are leading the resistance against fascism and the attack on our immigrants.”
Her sentiments are perhaps not surprising, given that she was an anchor baby of an illegal alien mother who gave birth to her on American soil. Under current interpretation of the law, that made Ramirez an automatic American citizen. Her husband is an illegal alien, one of the so-called “Dreamers” who gained legal residence through an arbitrary and illegal decree by former President Barack Obama.
Ramirez finished her talk with the bold proclamation that “I’m a proud Guatemalan before I’m an American.” Whatever one may say about Ramirez, her candor is refreshing. Most illegal alien advocates seem to share her tenuous loyalty to our country, but they lack the integrity and honesty to admit it.
