A poll by YouGov., commissioned by the Economist, found that 50 percent of Americans support President Trump’s handling of immigration. Forty-five percent disapprove. Of registered voters, 53 percent endorse what the president has done, and 44 percent disapprove.
The poll also sampled public opinion on Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the agency that carries out deportations of illegal aliens. It asked respondents if the agency should be “expanded, kept the same, reduced or eliminated.” Forty-two percent said expanded and 30 percent wanted it kept the same. Twenty-two percent favored reduction, and seven percent called for elimination.
