Oregon AG Provides Anti-ICE “Toolkit” for Illegals

The leftist attorney general of Oregon has released a “Sanctuary Promise Community Toolkit” to help illegal aliens in the state resist efforts by the incoming Trump administration to find and deport them. Democratic AG Ellen Rosenblum announced her helpful hints this way:

I asked my Civil Rights Unit here at the Oregon DOJ to do whatever we could to provide the people, businesses, and local governments of our state with easy-to-read materials to help them know their rights and educate others, and I’m so pleased with what they’ve put together.

The toolkit, published in English and Spanish, consists in part of a series of questions-and-answers intended as a guide for illegals who may encounter ICE, including:

Question: How do I prepare for encounters with ICE?
Answer: Do the following:

      • Do not open the door.
      • Ask to see a warrant signed by a judge.
      • Tell them you do not consent to them being at your home.
      • Tell them please leave.

Question: How do I report someone I suspect of “bias crime”?
Answer: Call the cops. An exhaustive list of law enforcement agencies follows as well as a convenient online form (available in nine languages) to fill out to notify the AG’s office directly.

In her announcement of the toolkit, AG Rosenblum summed up her position on illegals this way:

Every person has the right to live, work, play, and learn safely in Oregon.

I guess that’s going to eventually make the Beaver State a pretty crowded place.
