Orban: Elites Oppose Democracy

Western elites, said Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, promote mass immigration as a way to erase the homogeneity of nation states, and thereby eliminate those states. In place of sovereign countries they want an increasingly centralized and powerful European Union. Orbán made these observations during a speech in Tusványos in Romania.

Orbán affirmed that most Europeans oppose this agenda. But the elites don’t care, and they are determined to force their agenda on unwilling populations–which amounts to tyranny. Said Orbán “If the people and elites cannot agree to cooperate, how can it [be] a representative democracy? Because here we have an elite that does not want to represent the people, and is proud of not wanting to represent them, and here we have the people who are not represented.”
