The official unemployment rate is 4.9, but this relatively low level of joblessness does not take into account the very large numbers of Americans who have dropped out of the workforce because, in many cases, they’ve given up hope of finding employment. Currently, one out of six American men of prime working age (25-54) is not in the workforce. Despite this situation, mass immigration continues to flood our labor market with foreign workers.
