The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) distributed more than $100 million to nonprofit charity organizations to provide services for illegal aliens released from federal custody at the Mexican border. A federal watchdog investigation found irregularities in these allocations.
According to a recently-released DHS Office of Inspector General report, the recipient organizations, in many cases, did not properly account for the funds and spent some of the expenditures on illegal aliens who were ineligible to receive them.
