As reported here on numerous occasions (such as “Chinese Migrants Continue to Surge” on 10/9/24), China was shipping its citizens wholesale illegally into the United States during the Biden administration. In just the first half of Fiscal Year 24, a total of 24,376 Chinese nationals were encountered at the Southwest border, an increase of 8,500% compared with the same period of 2021. Now there are at least 390,000 undocumented Chinese immigrants living here. And nearly 38,000 of them have already been ordered to leave, yet remain.
That is changing. In the past eight months, Ice has sent back five planeloads of illegal Chinese migrants. The Chinese government have even agreed to accept their citizens, a new position for them.
So far during the new Trump administration, the CBP has been focussing on removing illegal aliens with criminal records, although those already ordered removed are expected to be targeted next. The sooner the better.
