More Than Half-Million Violent Illegals Now in US

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) released data this week regarding the number of violent criminals from other countries currently living in ours.

ICE distinguishes illegal aliens by whether a given illegal is currently detained or not. Those not detained are considered to be in the “non-detained docket.” Those are illegal migrants who have received final orders of removal or are currently going through removal proceedings. Unbelievably, there are currently more than 7 million people on that docket, nearly double the 3.7 million that were there in FY 2021.

Of those, there are 425,431 convicted criminals and 222,141 with pending criminal charges. Among the former are:

  • 62,231 —  Assault
  • 15,811 —  Sexual assault
  • 14,301 —  Burglary
  • 56,533 —  Drug violations
  • 13,099 —  Homicide
  • 2,521 —  Kidnapping

Of those with charges pending:

  • 1,845 —  homicide
  • 42,915 —  assault
  • 3,266 —  burglary
  • 4,250 —  assault

In response to the data, Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-TX) said:

As of July 21, 2024, there were 662,566 noncitizens with criminal histories on ICE’s national docket—13,099 criminally convicted MURDERS! Americans deserve to be SAFE in our own communities.

So they do, but our rulers in Washington apparently feel otherwise.
