Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas stated that there is no “crisis” at the border. He further maintained that “The prior administration dismantled our immigration system in its entirety. Quite frankly, the entire system was gutted.” He didn’t explain how a border that was “gutted” only a few weeks ago is now no longer in crisis.
