Herbert Kickl heads Austria’s Freedom Party, the country’s largest political party. One of its leading planks is reducing the mass immigration that is erasing the culture and character of Austria. To illustrate, in Vienna, the capital city, 75 percent of students in middle schools do not speak German at home. In some districts of the city, German is not the primary language of 80 percent the residents.
Despite the popularity of the Freedom Party, Austrian elites do not allow it to participate significantly in the governing of the country. This is also the case in a number of other Western countries. Without even a hint of irony, these elites proclaim that parties with mass support which seek to curb immigration are a “threat to democracy.”
Commenting on this situation, Kickl observed, “What is happening in Europe is no coincidence. It is the result of an agenda, a consciously controlled ethnic and cultural transformation. Because migration is not being stopped, it is being organized, promoted and glorified. NGOs are not noble aid organizations, they are part of smuggling networks with a political and ideological mission.”
