Jean-Marie Le Pen, RIP

Jean-Marie Le Pen, who founded the National Front party in France, died last week at the age of 96. Le Pen was a patriot who fought tirelessly against the entrenched vested interests of his country, both left and right, that seek to erase French nationhood with their globalist agendas.

Despite this opposition, the National Front became a strong contender in French elections, as it focused on the negative effects of mass immigration. In his passionate approach to politics, Le Pen sometimes overstepped the bounds of moderation. Nevertheless, he accurately predicted many of problems with “diversity” that France now faces.

In 2011, Le Pen’s daughter, Marine, took charge of the party. In 2018, as part of her effort to give it a less abrasive image, she changed the party’s name to National Rally. In the most recent national election, she lost but still got a respectable 41.5 percent of the vote against Emmanuel Macron, the candidate of the French Establishment. Polls now show her as the front runner in the upcoming 2027 election.

If France survives with its historic identity intact, Jean Marie and Marine Le Pen will deserve a large share of the credit. Describing the struggle ahead, Marine Le Pen observed, “There is no more left and right. The real cleavage is between the patriots and the globalists.”
