Jacksonville Bans Illegals

Last week, the city council of Jacksonville, Florida, passed the Jacksonville Illegal Immigration Enforcement Act. This measure criminalizes the presence of illegal aliens in the city. First time offenders will get a sentence of 30 days in jail, and repeat offenders will get 60 days. The new law also provides resources to help the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office identify and arrest illegal aliens.

City Council member Nick Howland observed that We are the first city in the country to enact this kind of bill. We’re standing with our president, with our governor, with our state legislature to secure our borders, to reverse the Biden wave of illegal immigration and to keep our streets and our neighborhoods safe.”
