Indians to Get H-1B Break

In tandem with the recent state visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the U.S., the Biden Administration has committed to making it easier for Indian H-1B workers to enter and remain in our country. The H-1B program allows U.S. allows American companies to do tech jobs in the U.S., typically with the excuse that they can’t find Americans with the appropriate skills.

The reality is that they prefer foreigners because they can pay them less than U.S. citizens and have greater control over them. Anyone who believes that we are lacking native talent to do the jobs needs to explain why nearly two-thirds of U.S. college graduates in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) have had to find employment in other fields.

In fiscal year 2022, there were approximately 442,000 H-1B workers in the U.S. Seventy-three percent of them were Indian nationals.
