Inciting Resistance to Law

The Quote Below—More Misinformation from the Media

“While many doubted that the mass deportation Trump espoused during his presidential campaign would materialize, it is clear that the administration is true to its word, utilizing every avenue to deport undocumented immigrants as quickly as possible. Some of these deportation efforts have been purposefully dehumanizing, like the opening of Alligator Alcatraz. Others have been illegal, like the removal of Kilmar Abrego Garcia to El Salvador. And all have resulted in familial, economic, and social repercussions that will linger for decades.

“Yet communities have refused to stand by idly. From large cities like Los Angeles to small, rural towns like O’Neill, Neb., communities have come together across lines of race, class, immigration status, and political affiliation to resist the cruelty and chaos of mass deportation.

“During the first Trump administration, I visited towns throughout the country that were hit by large-scale worksite raids—raids just like that which occurred in Ellabell, Ga., when 475 workers were taken from a Hyundai plant on Sept. 4, 2025. With a small team of public health students, a colleague and I spoke with residents from these small, predominantly white, rural towns.

“Immigration raids, like all forms of deportation, are chaotic and destabilizing. But I didn’t just hear stories of catastrophe and collapse. I also heard stories of resistance, sacrifice, and courage. . . .“ — The Growing Resistance to Mass Deportation, William Lopez, Time, 9/27/25 [Link]

Fact Check of Above Quote: William Lopez, the writer of this article clearly endorses “resistance” to “mass deportation” of illegal aliens. Yet he never uses the word illegal to describe them. Like so many illegal alien advocates, he employs the weasel word “undocumented,” which suggests that violating our immigration laws is nothing more significant than having a few papers out of order. The only time he writes “illegal,” in reference to the deportation of gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia To El Salvador.

Illegal alien advocates seized on Garcia’s case to claim that the Trump Administration was indifferent to the rule of law because it overlooked some disputed legalities to send Garcia, an illegal alien, back to his home country. It’s amazing how these advocates embrace the fine minutia of law while promoting mass law-breaking by illegal aliens. The hypocrisy is off the charts.

Whether Lopez and his cohorts like it or not, the law states that the penalty for illegal residence in the United States is deportation. If they don’t like that law, they can work through our democratic process to change it. But they won’t do that because they know than they can never get a majority of Americans to go along with the idea that citizens have no right to determine who comes here and who stays.

Consequently, the alien advocates do all they can to discredit and sabotage immigration law enforcement, all the while pretending to care about the rule of law. Lopez decries deportation raids because they are “chaotic and destabilizing.” The reality is that any kind law enforcement can become chaotic and unpleasant to watch, particularly when suspects resist arrest. But that’s no justification for no enforcement.

Patriotic Americans support resistance to the notion that they have to comply with laws, or face punishment, while foreigners can slip across our border and face no consequences at all. May this resistance increase.
