As of October of last year, according the Census Bureau’s Current Population Survey, the foreign-born population of the U.S. (including legal and illegal immigrants) reached a new record level of 49.5 million. Among these people are the 4.5 million immigrants who have arrived since Joe Biden became president in 2021. That number exceeds the population of 25 states.
The percentage of the foreign-born, now 15 percent of the total U.S. population, is the highest ever recorded in the history of our country. This means that approximately one in seven U.S. resident is an immigrant. Nevertheless, mass immigration continues unabated with no end in sight.
