Mark Krikorian, executive director of the Center for Immigration Studies, recently observed that John Lennon’s song “Imagine” is the guiding ideology of the political and economic elites who rule most Western countries. Said Krikorian, “Our leadership classes don’t believe in nationhood, sovereignty, and borders anymore.”
These are some of the lyrics from Lennon’s song: Imagine there’s no countries/ It isn’t Hard to do/ Nothing to kill or die for/ And no religion too/ Imagine all the people living a life of peace/ You may say I’m a dreamer/ But I’m not the only one/ I hope one day you’ll join us/ And the world will be as one.
The claim that globalist ideology is bringing the world peace is most ironic given that Western globalists helped to engineer the war between Russia and Ukraine for the purpose of undermining the national sovereignty of both countries. Globalists also undermine freedom by promoting mass immigration and then cracking down on people who express legitimate concerns against it. The recent actions of the Starmer regime in Britain are a case in point.
Marine Le Pen, the leader of France’s patriotic National Rally Party sagely noted that “The divide is not between the left and right anymore, but between patriots and globalists.” Not surprisingly, elitist agents in France have cooked up bogus charges against Le Pen in an effort to put her in prison.
