Illegal Migration Is at Historic Lows

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued the June Southwest Land Border Encounters Report, which shows that illegal migration into the US has effectively been stopped in its tracks.

In June, Border Patrol agents apprehended 8,024 migrants who had illegally crossed either the southern or northern border. For the second month in a row, not a single migrant was admitted. Contrast that with the last June of the Biden administration, when 27,776 illegals were released into the US. The 6,072 who crossed the southern border represented a decrease of 15 percent from the previous record set, in March. Another record was set on June 28, when only 136 migrants were apprehended, the lowest number in a single day ever. On a single day under the Biden administration, more than 13,000 entered.

CBP Commissioner Rodney Scott remarked about the report’s findings:

From shutting down illegal crossings to seizing fentanyl and enforcing billions in tariffs, CBP is delivering results on every front. Under this administration, we are protecting this country with relentless focus, and the numbers prove it.
