Sanctuary metro Denver, Colorado, has furnished its share of illegal-alien news over the past few years — from gang takeover of apartment complexes in Aurora to offering city-paid bribes to just go way — but now it’s offering up deportee candidates to ICE by the hundreds.
Not intentionally, of course. The “progressive” city won’t give up its illegals without a struggle, but during a recent nine-day period, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested 243 illegal aliens from a total of 17 different countries.
The operation, conducted between July 12 to July 20, resulted in the arrests of members of Tren de Aragua (TdA), the Sinaloa and Los Zetas Mexican drug cartels, and other transnational gangs. Among the countries of origin of those arrested, aside from Venezuela and Mexico, were Central and South America, Jordan, Algeria, Ethiopia, Romania, South Africa, and China.
ICE’s Robert Guadian commented on the arrests saying:
Many of the criminal aliens ICE arrested during this operation had been previously released into the Denver metro area by local county jails — directly into the community — because of Colorado’s sanctuary laws that prevent Sheriffs from cooperating with ICE.
