Deportations of aliens from the interior of the U.S in 2016 have declined 73% since 2009, the year President Obama took office, according to a new report from the Center for Immigration Studies. The report analyzes FY 2016 statistics recently released by Obama’s DHS.
Unlike in past years, the Obama administration reports contain only a fraction of the important statistics that traditionally were published on the work of the federal immigration agencies. Instead, the Obama-DHS reports claim “success” because most of the aliens removed were “priorities” under Obama directives that leave most illegals safe from deportation.
