HISPANIC CAUCUS ASKS OBAMA FOR NO DEPORTATIONS OF 8 MILLION ILLEGALS

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus has sent a six-page memo to Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson formally requesting that the Obama administration prevent the deportation of any illegal alien that might qualify for the mass amnesty contained in the so-called comprehensive immigration reform bill passed by the Senate, but stalled by conservative Republicans in the House.

The Senate bill, also known as the “Gang of Eight” bill, would legalize an estimated 8 million illegal aliens according to the Congressional Budget Office. Other experts note the number could be much higher than predicted, as was the case with the 1986 amnesty, due to massive fraud, overwhelmed officials attempting to screen millions of applicants, and the Obama administration’s lenient attitude on immigration law enforcement.

Radical Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL), who leads the Caucus’s amnesty efforts, recently met with DHS Sec. Johnson.

The Caucus letter includes this statement: “We write to recommend administrative actions that DHS should take to end the needless separation of American (sic) families caused by the deportations of immigrants…”
