Half of U.S. Jobs May Be Automated in Next Two Decades

A study by the Bank of England predicts that within ten to twenty years 80 million jobs now done by humans in the U.S. may be done by robots and other machines. This number is roughly half of the present U.S. workforce. Meanwhile, one can predict with a high degree of certainty that immigration advocates will keep telling us that we face a great labor shortage.
