Great Replacement Is Fact, Not Theory

The Quote Below—More Misinformation from the Media

“Until a couple of years ago, the “great replacement” – a racist conspiracy theory that white Christian populations are being intentionally replaced by nonwhite immigrants—was so toxic in France that even Marine Le Pen, the long time leader of the country’s far right refused to use it.

“But in a presidential race that has widened the boundaries of political acceptability in France, Valerie Pecresse., the candidate of the mainstream center-right party in the coming election, used the phrase over the weekend in a speech punctuated with coded attacks against immigrants and Muslims.

“The use of the slogan—in what has been billed as the most important speech so far by Ms. Pecresse, a top rival of President Emmanuel Macron—has fueled intense criticism from both her opponents as well as allies in the party. It also underscored France’s further shift to the right, especially among middle-class voters, and the overwhelming influence of right-wing ideas and candidates in this campaign, politician experts said. . . .

“Europe Zemmour a far-right author, television pundit and now presidential candidate, was the leading figure to popularize the concept in France in the past decade—describing it as a civilizational threat against the country and the rest of Europe. . . .

“[Pecresse] said that France was not doomed to the “great replacement” and called on her supporters “to rise up.” In the same speech she drew a distinction between “French of the Heart” and “French of Papers” – an expression used by the extreme right to point to naturalized citizens. Vowing not to let France be subjugated, she said of the symbol of France, “Marianne is not a veiled woman” referring to the Muslim veil.

“ ‘By using the [term] great replacement, she gave it legitimacy and put the ideas of the extreme right at the heart of the debate of the presidential race, said Philippe Corcuff an expert on the far-right who teaches at the Institute of political science in Lyon. – In France, a Racist Conspiracy Theory Edges into the Mainstream, Norimitsu Onishi, The New York Times, 2/15/22 [Link]

Fact Check of Above Quote: This writer claims that the “great replacement” is a “conspiracy theory,” but he doesn’t deny that this replacement is happening. The reason is that it is happening, and no honest person can deny it. Due mainly to immigration, the historic white majority of America will sink to minority status within twenty years or so. Similarly in Europe, to cite two examples, white Britons and white Swedes could become minorities in their countries by the 2060s. Some favor these outcomes. but no one calls them “conspiracy theorists.” One is our president, Joe Biden. He stated that “[T]hose of us of European stock will be an absolute minority in the United States of America [and that’s], “not a bad thing, that’s a good thing”

Someone with similar thoughts in Europe is Indian-born Dr. Parag Khanna. Described as the world’s “leading authority on migration,” he eagerly foresees what he calls the “brownification” of the West. He states that “We’ll see an ever-higher proportion of the world’s children with brown complexions and less with white complexions. You can’t refute that or do anything about it – it’s all part of the beautiful, deep tide of history and demographics.” Even as he seems to relish the idea of his ethnicity becoming more dominant, no one calls him a “brown supremacist” or a conspiracy theorist.

Is the replacement a conspiracy, i.e., something done intentionally with an effort to hide the motive? It would seem so because every now and then the replacement promoters let the cat out of the bag. One in the U.S. was prominent Democratic strategist Robert Creamer who recommended mass immigration as a means to dilute Republican strength. In Britain, political advisor Andrew Neather of the left-wing Labour Party revealed that his party’s agenda was to flood  the country with immigrants in order to “rub the Right’s nose in diversity.”

It could well be that the intentions go beyond mere partisan political advantage. The leaders of many western countries tend to think in terms of global governance rather than national loyalty. The late Harvard professor Samuel Huntington referred to these elites as “transnationals,” and observed that “Less than 4 percent of the American people, these transnationals have little need for national loyalty, view boundaries as obstacles that thankfully are vanishing, and see national governments as residues from the past whose only useful function now is to facilitate the elite’s global operations.” In Europe, the European Union is on track to eliminate distinct European nations and impose a dictatorial central government. Erasing historic racial and ethnic identities is a good way to erase nations. Is this a conspiracy theory? It’s a theory that fits the facts.
