Republicans in Congress are challenging the Biden Administration’s use of the parole law to circumvent immigration law enforcement and allow illegal aliens to settle in the U.S. This law, passed in 1952, allows the admission of foreigners without visas on a case-by-case basis on grounds of humanitarian concerns or for public benefit to our country.
Rather than follow this legal guideline, the administration has indiscriminately extended parole to masses of illegal aliens seeking to enter the U.S. Their number totals one million since Joe Biden took office. The GOP lawmakers say they will pressure Biden to curtail parole in exchange for accepting some of his policy goals, one of which is military aid for Ukraine.
