Last Friday, six inmates at the Wallens Ridge State Prison in Virginia launched what Virginia Department of Corrections (VADOC) called an “apparently premeditated” attack against corrections officers. Five of the officers were injured, three with stab wounds. Two officers had to be hospitalized.
Five of the attackers were illegal aliens, and were were, according to VADOC, “confirmed MS-13 gang members from El Salvador.” The sixth attacker, a U.S. citizen, is a member of the Sureño 13, a Mexican-American criminal gang. VADOC Director Chad Dotson observed that “Five of the individuals responsible for this senseless attack should never have been in this country in the first place.”
MS-13 is a particularly vicious and brutal gang, which makes it hard to understand the controversy when the Trump Administration recently deported one of its members back to El Salvador. As long as these illegal alien gangsters remain in our country they will continue to do jobs that many American criminals refuse to do.
