“DREAMERS” Call on Dems to Push Obama for More Amnesty Edicts

The group United We Dream marched from the U.S. Capitol to the Democratic National Committee headquarters to deliver 200 letters demanding that the executive branch give amnesty to the illegal alien parents of U.S. citizens (“anchor babies”) and “DREAMERS” (illegals already given amnesty by Obama edict). Some 200 people, many wearing T-shirts that read “Obama Deports Parents,” held a press conference criticizing Democrats for not pushing Obama for more amnesty edicts, and listing all of the broader amnesty edicts they demanded.

Included in the demands were raising the age limits, eliminating educational requirements and criminal disqualification standards from the DREAM amnesty; stopping deportations of people with spouses, long-time partners, parents, or children who are in the U.S. legally or have “community ties.”

If that list sounds so broad as to include just about all the illegals in the U.S., it is. In a May 9 Wall Street Journal blog, Lorella Praeli, director of advocacy for United We Dream, said executive orders – not congressional legislation – should be used to address what could be done about the estimated 11 million aliens in the U.S. illegally.
