The U.S. State Department has announced the winners of the Diversity Immigrant Visa Program for Fiscal Year 2021. Under this program, also known as the Visa Lottery, 55,000 foreign nationals each year who draw a winning ticket get to come to the United States as immigrants. They get to come not because of any skills or attributes they have have to offer, but simply because of their lucky draw.
