Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX) charges that the Biden Administration is trying to mislead people with the photos at a detention center in Donna, Texas. The photos show a mostly empty detention center which gives the impression that the administration has made progress in processing unaccompanied minors who crossed the border.
The reality, says the Democratic congressman, is that nearby facilities still hold large numbers of these migrants: “All they’re doing is they’re moving kids from one tent to the other tent and saying, ‘Oh, they’re not in the Border Patrol [custody],’ but they’re right next door.”
