Deportation: Justifiable, Humane, and Doable

Allan Wall, a commentator at Border Hawk News, predicts that illegal alien advocates will pull out all stops to oppose President-elect Trump’s plan for mass deportations of illegal aliens. He maintains that their allies in the media will portray deportations “in the worst possible light” and will use slanted and dishonest reporting to make them appear cruel and impractical.

To resist this kind of media manipulation, American citizens, says Wall, should understand that deportations are justifiable, humane, and doable. Below he elaborates on these headings:

JUSTIFIABLE: Do we want to be a nation of laws or not? For decades, our Mainstream Media and political establishment have legitimized illegal immigration and pampered its practitioners. The 1986 amnesty was a major error, as was every amnesty since. It’s time to end it. Our nation has been invaded and we need to carry out a resounding mass deportation to show the world that it’s over. In the long run, such a program would deter future illegal immigration.

HUMANE: Mass deportation is not an injustice, it’s just sending people back where they belong. It’s also not inhumane if done properly. Many of the critics of deportation have no problem with the treatment meted out to American citizens who peacefully entered the Capitol on January 6, 2021. Deportation is not torture. It’s just a matter of moving illegal aliens from the U.S. back to their home country. If you don’t like the term “deportation,” replace it with “repatriation” – sending them back to the fatherland. Doesn’t that sound nicer?

DOABLE: Yes, it can be done. Federal immigration authorities, along with the help of local officials, can do it. Once our government shows it is serious about deportation, other illegal aliens will realize that they can also be deported. And many will self-deport. That way, they can take their possessions – and maybe the fancy pickup they bought here in the U.S. – and go home on their own steam. Who knows – maybe in a few years they will admit they are glad to be back in their homelands.
