An article in The Hill reports that some Democratic senators have concluded that their party’s commitment to liberal immigration policies significantly contributed to the Democrats’ losses in the recent elections.
The article stated, “[T]here’s a growing feeling among Democratic lawmakers that the Biden administration completely mismanaged the huge surge of migrants across the southern border and that this also hurt their party dearly.”
It also quoted an unidentified Democratic senator who observed that “We destroyed ourselves on the immigration issue in ways that were entirely predictable and entirely manageable.”
