Julian Castro, the former secretary of HUD under Obama and now candidate for president, predicts that in a couple of decades, the U.S. might be “begging for immigrants,” if President Trump’s policies continue.
Castro told MSNBC, “Several of the industries in this country benefit already from their labor. We need a young and vibrant workforce. And if we’re not careful, if we don’t get this right, in 20 or 30 years this nation is going to be begging for immigrants to come to this country.” (He was apparently not asked how much native-born American employees “benefit” from foreign labor.)
One might assume, given the avid open-borders position of Mr. Castro and his fellow Democrat hopefuls, that many of them have started begging already.
