A French court found National Rally leader Marine Le Pen “guilty” of embezzling European Union funds. This ruling was highly convenient for globalist elites in France because part of its sentence would prevent Le Pen from running in the 2027 presidential race. Polling now shows her ahead of other potential candidates. Le Pen, a patriotic populist who favors less immigration, has long been a thorn in the side of the French Establishment.
Prior to the court’s ruling, Le Pen stated: “I consider myself completely innocent of the facts with which I am accused. Therefore . . . I will use the rule of law to be able to defend my innocence again.”
Patriotic leaders in other European countries came to Le Pen’s defense. Italian Deputy PM Matteo Salvini: “Those who fear the judgment of voters often seek reassurance from the courts. In Paris, they have condemned Marine Le Pen and would like to remove her from political life.”
Increasingly, Western elites are using courts in an effort to destroy their opposition. This happened in our country with the judicial “lawfare” directed against President Trump. Even more outrageous was the arbitrary ruling of a court in Romania that threw out the election of a populist candidate for president.
Western elites hypocritically claim that they are defenders of “democracy,” but when the will of the people goes against their agenda on immigration and other issues, they don’t hesitate to employ unelected judges to thwart the people’s will.
