Congressional Dems: “Give Us Your Tired, Your Poor, Your Infected Masses”

The Trump administration made liberal use of Title 42, a law permitting the Center for Disease Control to order the Border Patrol to quickly deport illegal border crossers back to their homelands. All told, nearly 460,000 were expelled under that policy.

Now, in a letter to DHS Secretary Mayorkas, Congressional Democrats are asking Joe Biden to end Title 42, in the words of Breitbart’s John Binder, “arguing that the U.S. is contributing to the global spread of the coronavirus by deporting border crossers to their native countries.”

That’s right. In an amazing display of verbal gymnastics, the Dems, while admitting that this country still faces “an uphill battle to reach herd immunity,” contend that we should not “export the virus to already vulnerable nations,” i.e. the migrants’ own countries. Instead, we should allow them to remain here, where we can hospitalize them, pay for their treatment, and hope that don’t infect too many Americans in the meantime.

The gall, hubris, and sheer stupidity of these people is breathtaking.
