What’s with the Chinese and disease? As if the Wuhan virus wasn’t enough, now their citizens, privileged to work in this country, are importing more diseases.
In November, the Justice Department announced that three Chinese nationals had been charged with smuggling illegal biological materials into the U.S. while working at a university laboratory. Now, another Chinese, a post-doctoral researcher, has been charged with smuggling E. coli bacteria into the US. The researcher, Youhuang Xiang, is here on a J-1 visa, one of the seemingly endless alphabet soup of special worker visas, this one for supposedly highly skilled scientists.
The FBI, which made the arrest, did not reveal the university Xiang worked for, but the agents involved were from the Indianapolis and Chicago field offices.
What will have to happen before we expel all Chinese students (otherwise known as spies and saboteurs) from America?
