CBP Chief Praises Trump Border Policies

The acting commissioner of Customs and Border Protection, Mark Morgan, credits the policies of Trump Administration for bringing about for the decline of apprehensions of illegal aliens at Mexican border have declined for the past six months. Fewer apprehensions are an indication that the overall level of illegal immigration has decreased.

Morgan observed that “Because of this president and these initiatives, we have shut that [child trafficking at the southern border] down. Since the peak of May, we have reduced that by 85 percent, families coming from the Northern Triangle countries.” He also gave credit to Mexico assistance in curbing illegal entries into the U.S.
