Poll: Most Voters Oppose Executive Amnesty

An exit poll conducting by The Polling Company found that nearly three-quarters (74 percent) of voters oppose President Obama's proposal to bypass Congress and decree amnesty for illegal aliens. Specifically, they agreed that "President Obama should work with Congress rather than around Congress on immigration and separately." Seventy-nine percent of whites were in agreement, 59 percent of blacks, and 54 percent of Hispanics. Ninety-two percent of Republicans agreed, as well as a majority of Democrats (51 percent). Only 20 percent of respondents favored executive amnesty.
