Bush Calls Amnesty ‘Rational [and] Thoughtful’

Gutierrez Promotes ‘Emergency’ Card for illegals

Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) is promoting an "emergency card" for illegal aliens which advises them of ways to avoid deportation. He said it will be helpful to them when, he hopes, President Obama's offer of legal status to five million illegal aliens is allowed to go into effect. Currently a federal court is restraining it. Gutierrez by all appearances is a Latino supremacist. He once stated that his only loyalty was to the "immigrant community."

Deportations of Criminal Aliens Decline

Arrests and deportations of criminal aliens declined 30 percent since last year, according to data released by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Robert W. Goodlatte (R-VA). The data also reveal that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) released 30,558 criminal aliens it was holding. They had a total of nearly 80,000 convictions, including 250 homicides, 186 kidnappings and 373 sexual assaults. The Obama Administration has justified its leniency toward most illegal aliens by claiming that wanted to focus resources on those who are dangerous criminals.

Legal Immigration Will Add More Than 10 Million in Decade

If present immigration policy continues, legal immigration will add more than 10 million people to our population within the next ten years. This is more than the combined population of seven major U.S. cities, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Denver, St. Louis, and Dallas.

Sen. Sessions: America Needs to Curb Immigration

In an op-ed in The Washington Post Sen. Jeff Sessions affirmed that America must cut its "excessive level" of legal immigration. "Each year," he noted, "the United States adds another million mostly low-wage permanent legal immigrants who can work, draw benefits, and become voting citizens." As this has happened, wage levels and opportunities for American workers have declined. "But high immigration rates," said Sessions, "help the financial elite (and the political elite who receive their contributions) by keeping wages down and profits up. For them, what's not to like? That is why they have tried to enforce silence in the face of public desire for immigration reductions. They have sought to intimidate good and decent Americans into avoiding honest discussion of how uncontrolled immigration impacts their lives. "But the dam is breaking. The elite consensus is crumbling -- and the enforced silence on this critical issue will end."

U.S. Cities Are ‘Secretly Selected’ for Muslim Immigration

The U.S. government, "secretly selects" communities for refugee settlement without informing them of the likely costs and other issues related to resettlement. Many of the designated refugees now are Muslims. Commonly assisting resettlement are religious organizations that profit from their activity and then leave the refugees for taxpayers to support. Critics of the refugee system complain that its screening procedures are not adequate to prevent terrorists from posing as refugees and coming to the U.S.

New Poll: Most Want Stronger Enforcement against Illegal Aliens

A new Rasmussen Poll found that 62 percent of Americans believe that the government should be more aggressive in deporting illegal aliens. Only 16 percent say it is too aggressive. The percentage wanting stronger enforcement has been increasing. Last year at this time, 52 percent said the government should be more aggressive, and last November the total was 56 percent.
