A source in U.S. Customs and Border Protection reports that the Border Patrol is leaving long stretches of the border with minimal manpower to deter illegal aliens. The reason is that large numbers of agents are pulled off patrol to process and release illegal aliens who claim asylum.
In some cases highly trained agents have to spend their time driving these aliens to processing centers. “These special agents,” the source noted “are trained to investigate complex criminal cases involving human smuggling, child pornography, and the illegal importation of narcotics. We’ve got them driving vans. The whole situation here is beyond belief.”
