Despite the highest surge of illegal immigration in twenty years, the Biden Administration is not proposing to hire any more Border Patrol agents in its proposed budget for fiscal year 2022. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas says the agency will hire new officers, but only to replace those who have recently quit the Border Patrol.
