House Speaker John Boehner of Ohio, who has favored a legislative compromise including amnesty for illegals, on Thursday took a strong stand against Obama’s planned amnesty edict. He said House Republicans will fight “tooth and nail” against Obama’s plan to act alone, and would not rule out a government shutdown.
“Our goal here is to stop the president from violating his oath of office and violating the Constitution.”
