Over the past four years, an unknown number of millions of migrants have been lured from their home countries to come illegally to Joe Biden’s America. Now, with the approach of a new administration, those phony American Dreams Biden and his chief henchman, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, sold the migrants and their families are collapsing. Those illegals who made it here are subject to be rounded up and deported. And those who impoverished themselves to pay smugglers to escort them north but are now stuck in limbo in Mexico City or somewhere else along the route have no hope of reaching their illegal goal and often have scant resources to turn around and go home.
Todd Bensman, of the Center for Immigration Studies, spoke with many such “Mayorkas’ miserables,” and found that the hope the Biden administration deliberately instilled in them has largely evaporated along the way. Bensman told an interviewer this week, “They’re the last. . . they’re the caboose on the train ..and it’s been decoupled, and they’re the ones that got stuck as the gate shuts closed.” He explained that while some are holding out a desperate hope that they can still cross the US border “before Trump swears in,” others have given up:
[T]here’s also a lot of other immigrants that I interviewed down here who said that they’re just going to go home. They’re getting up, they’re going back to Venezuela, back to Colombia, back to Guatemala, back to wherever they came from … because they just feel like it’s hopeless that they’re not going to ever get in at this point.
Thus while Biden will soon be off to his dotage on a Delaware beach and Mayorkas will head to some cushy corporate board, their dupes are left to ponder their next move, retracing the forlorn steps that got them stuck in no man’s land.
