The Biden Administration maintains that its generally weak enforcement of immigration law is the consequence of focusing on the deportation of dangerous illegal alien criminals. But figures from the Department of Homeland Security reveal that it is not even carrying out this task effectively.
As Fox News reported “In fiscal 2020, the last full year of the Trump Administration, [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] aimed to deport 151,000 convicted criminal illegal immigrants, and deported just over 100,000. . . . By 2022, the first full fiscal year of the Biden Administration, the target had dropped to 91,500 and just over 38,000 had been deported.”
