The Biden Administration has quadrupled the limit for refugees to 62,500 for this fiscal year. The eventual goal is to increase the annual level to 125,000. Various “charities” get government money to place refugees in U.S. communities. After these “charities” leave, the communities have to pick up the social services tab for the refugees.
