Biden-Harris Skim Off 10% of Nicaraguan Men

Not only do our open borders detract markedly from Americans’ standard of living, they also encourage a brain drain that harms the countries sending migrants.

Consider the case of Nicaragua. During the current administration, fully ten percent of the working-age population of men in that country have come to America. The actual number is 334,000. Today there are 500,000 Nicaraguans living in the US, three times their number in 2021 when Biden-Harris took office. Losing hundreds of thousands of young men has meant that there are fewer men left in Nicaragua to oppose the authoritarian rule of communist Daniel Ortega.

Nicaragua’s situation is repeated in numerous other countries, including Haiti and Cuba. The leaders of such countries, like Ortega’s Nicaragua, often favor a porous American border for a couple of reasons. It can act as a safety valve to get ride of criminals or other potential trouble-makers, and their migrants send back remittances to families left behind. Those remittances are sometimes in sufficient amounts to provide a large portion of a country’s gross national product.

Back here in the US, big business benefits from cheap labor and Democrats salivate about all the future voters they’re importing — while the American people get the shaft.
