New York City Mayor Eric Adams, as Democrat as they come, is on the outs with Joe Biden, who thinks he is as Democrat as they come. Biden was just in and out of NYC to visit Global HQ (the United Nations). He didn’t have any time for Mayor Adams, but that was probably just as well because Adams is not too happy with comrade Biden either. (Nor is he all too happy with New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, another Dem who’s apparently not happy with either of them or perhaps anything at all.) Adams said about Biden:
I am hoping that he understands this beautiful city that’s the economic engine of the entire country is been saddled with a $2 billion that we spent already, $5 billion we’re going to spend in this fiscal crisis, $12 billion in the next two budgetary cycles. New York doesn’t deserve this, the asylum seekers don’t deserve this. And so while he’s here, I think that they should really reflect on, New York City has done its part.
Those migrants have really gotten under the skin of these Empire State leaders and it hurts them to know that old Joe, to the extent that he can understand much at all, doesn’t care. Of course, most of the rest of the country already knew that.
I guess they never thought they’d have to pay for those sanctimonious assurances of unlimited welcome.
