In a further escalation of the Left’s war on ICE in Minnesota, a mob of leftist “protestors” actually stormed a church service in Minneapolis Sunday, alleging that one of the ministers was a “member of ICE.”
Accompanying the mob was disgraced CNN host Don Lemon, who insisted he was not a member of the group but only joined in as a ‘photographer.” Nevertheless, Lemon defended the mob’s action as a legitimate expression of free speech. Although members of the congregation demanded the mob leave the church, Lemon excused the group by saying “protests are not comfortable.”
Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division Harmeet Dhillon announced that her agency had launched an investigation to determine whether there had been potential violations of the federal FACE Act.
The FACE Act, passed in 1994 to protect abortion clinics and other pro-life pregnancy resource centers as well as churches, prohibits “violent, threatening, damaging, and obstructive conduct intended to injure, intimidate, or interfere with the right to seek, obtain, or provide reproductive health services.”
