Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden advocates amnesty for all illegal aliens in the U.S. Their commonly estimated number is 11 million. As legal residents and citizens they can petition for their relatives to come to the U.S. Typically immigrants bring in 3.5 family members, which means that the proposed amnesty could potentially open the door to 38.5 million people.
A study at Yale University indicates, however, that the total of illegal aliens in the U.S. could be as high as 22 million. In that case, the potential influx following an amnesty would be 77 million.
