The Washington Post reports that Sens. Thom Tillis (R-NC) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) are negotiating a plan which would give amnesty and a path to citizenship to two million illegal aliens who are enrolled in, or eligible for, the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
Presumably, they will try to pass this measure during the current “lame duck” session of Congress, before the newly elected members of Congress arrive. With a GOP majority in the House, the new Congress will be less likely to pass an amnesty.
